Kristen and Kenneth got married over the weekend at the Historic 512 in downtown Fort Worth, and there simply aren’t enough kind things to say about these two people! Their love for each other was so down right infectious to the point that I think even I had butterflies in my stomach when Kristen walked down the aisle! I’ve shot many times at the Historic 512, but this was my first time to see the ceremony set up in the round. Kenneth gave a heartfelt welcome to their friends and family and explained to them that while they chose not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen, their reason was because they wanted the whole room to feel like they were part of the bridal party (cue the tears, y’all). Their ceremony had everyone laughing and crying from sweetness and then their reception had everyone on their feet dancing to the Royal Dukes Band, mingling, sipping on signature cocktails, and yummy food. The day was truly perfect from start to finish and I’m honored to have been there to capture it.

Johnathan and Lexie’s wedding was one of my favorite weddings of all time, probably because they’re some of my favorite people my job has introduced me to! Their wedding was at the gorgeous historic St. Stephen Presbyterian church in Fort Worth, which provided the perfect backdrop for their first look photos. Seriously everywhere I looked around the church’s grounds I found beautiful greenery, gorgeous archetecture, and perfect light! There were so many personal and unique things about their wedding day that made it truly personal. Lexie’s mother made her veil and dreamed up all of the decor for their Ashton Depot wedding reception. They danced their first dance to Alabama Shakes’ “I found you” and that really kicked things off and set the tone for their epic dance party of a reception. Enough of my awkward rambling…let’s get see some pictures!

We shot Lexie and Jonathan’s engagement session at sunrise in Southlake last weekend. They flew in for the weekend just for this session and of course the weather forecast was predicting doom and gloom for the whole week leading up to the session. Cue freak out! I had a wedding the night before we were scheduled to shoot and when I got home and checked the weather for the next morning it was calling for thunderstorms at 8am, which would have seriously rained on our parade. Thankfully, the rain held out, and we even got a little bit of sun at the end! These two were so much fun that I’m pretty sure we could have rocked these photos even if it was storming! I don’t know that I’ve laughed that much before 9am….well, ever. I even found myself smiling again as I was uploading the photos once I got home because their smiles are so contagious!

Rachel and Jason were married in an outdoor ceremony in the Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth. Their ceremony was at twilight and was so sweet and personal since Jason’s dad did the ceremony. Rachel looked like she stepped straight out of a fairy tale with her loose blonde cascading curls, her TO DIE FOR scalloped lace backless dress designed by Robert Bullock, and the most perfect “something blue” with her killer navy sparkly Louboutin pumps! Everyone from friends, family, and my fellow awesome vendors worked so great together to make this night amazing and it’s not a wedding that I will soon forget! As you look through these photos, I dare you not to fall in love with these two and their amazing family and friends. Theses people sure know how to celebrate a bride and groom!

There was a lot of suspense leading up to Melissa and Chad’s big day! At the beginning of the summer north Texas got more rain that we’ve seen in my lifetime. Lakes that used to be dry and cracked where all of the sudden so full that they were flooding roadways, and as it would turn out, they flooded Melissa and Chad’s original venue! After planning for months and months, they had to start over from scratch about two months before their wedding date once it was obvious the place they originally booked wasn’t going to be ready. To see how perfectly things turned out, nobody would have guessed it! Everything was absolutely perfect from the flowers, to the gorgeous rustic venue filled with twinkle lights.
