Meet Christina, Joseph, Maddison, and Mackenzie! This family was so sweet and fun and boy did this session turn into quite the adventure for a little bit! When we stopped at this spot to do some photos, Christina set her purse down on the other side of this bench. We shot photos, laughed, and moved on down the street to a new spot.

We were probably gone for a good ten to fifteen minutes when we realized CRAP! THE PURSE! Joseph ran back over to get it while I snapped some more photos of the girls, but it was gone. That quick…just gone. Christina sprung into action, kicked off those turquoise heels and went running down the street the way only a woman whose LIFE just went missing could run! There were some kids playing nearby but they hadn’t seen anyone pick up the purse. Just when we were dialing the bank to cancel her cards, a black car drove up and asked if we were looking for a Coach purse with a white phone in it. YES! YES, we were! Those sweet souls saw it driving by and took it to the police station! We walked to the station and not only was her purse there, everything in her purse was still there! Turns out there ARE still genuinely good people left in the world!

I absolutely ADORE this couple! Allison found me through Pinterest when she was browsing for wedding inspiration…how cool is that?! We totally hit it off through email and after discovering that we live in the same neighborhood we met up at the local coffee shop and the rest is history. After our meeting I seriously called up my best friend all the way in New York and told her how much she would love Allison, too…haha! I’m pretty sure I was gushing…”she’s a VW girl, and a dog mama, and she has a sapphire engagement ring (swoon!)!” I am ridiculously excited to be a part of their wedding day this fall at La Buena Vida Vineyards in historic downtown Grapevine! It’s sure to be gorgeous, sweet, and absolutely perfect!

This is their sweet pup, Hank! He was such a good boy and a total lover. If the city of Fort Worth would allow me to have more dogs, I might have tried to take him home with me!

I fell in LOVE with Allison’s blue peep-toe kitten heels the second I saw them…and then she told me they were Frye’s. And I died.

I’ll be shooting Heather and Julian’s wedding this October (!!!) and even though we’ve already done their engagement photos, we just had to get some new photos with their new addition! Meet Mr. Han Solo! They rescued Han from a local shelter a few months ago and immediately fell in love. He’s seriously the sweetest pup and he minds so well! I can’t imagine any reason in the world why someone would surrender this dog to the pound.

I really hope Han gets to come to the wedding at Parson’s Table this fall. I just know he’ll look pretty handsome in a bow tie, and I bet he can catch a garter in his mouth like the best of them!

Aw! I got to meet Han a few weeks ago, and you definitely captured his sweet spirit! I think he’d make a fine groomsdog :)ReplyCancel

  • Heather

These look awesome, Shanna! I love the top portrait of Han. You captured my sweet boy so wonderfully! The last one is my favorite. Our first family portrait! Thank you so much, friend. You continue to outdo yourself. Can’t wait for October and YES Han will be there, in a necktie.ReplyCancel

This BEAUTIFUL woman is Delaine! She’s smart, gorgeous, accomplished, fun, and is at SUCH an exciting point of her life right now. She’s one of the most honest, hard working ladies I know and it was an honor to get to photograph her and catch up since we hadn’t really seen each other since high school. It certainly didn’t feel like “work” hanging out for the afternoon at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens to get these photos, that’s for sure!

Delaine is a woman after my own heart…HELLO YUMMY FRYE BOOTS! I think I spent half of our session drooling over her boots. The style she’s wearing is a style that’s not normally carried in stores so I was SUPER excited to get to check them out in person! While we’re on the subject of boots to die for…I’m gonna go ahead and put this out there : when I die, I’d like to be buried in my Janes, please. I’m serious.

  • I had such a ball shooting with you, Shanna!!!!! You are so accomplished and I have never had better photos! You are going to be my one and only from now on, that’s for dang sure. :-) I’m so glad we’ve reconnected and I am positive that I am going to kick it with my Frye boots with you sometime in the near future. I can’t wait to meet Rhett and Bailey. My FAVORITE pic is of me sitting in the flower garden with my hands around my knees. I can’t wait to build my private practice website (www.delainetaylor.com–a work currently in progress) with these photos, and use these pictures in therapist directories. They really show a warm, light-hearted, professional side of me that I asked and you did such a wonderful job. I am going to recommend you to every person I know asking for photographers, and then some. xoxoReplyCancel

I feel like this post should come with a warning, so here it is:

WARNING: NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEATH BY CUTENESS!!!

Okay, now that we’ve got that out of the way, meet Kellen! I’ve known his dad for years and have been photographing this cutie since he was born. We headed down the road to downtown Roanoke for some photos first, then to the old trains in downtown Keller for a change of scenery.

Aren’t you glad I warned you? You’re welcome.

While we were in Roanoke shooting a sweet lady came out from Susie’s Sweet Boutique and asked if she could give Kellen a cupcake since he was so darn cute! How sweet is that?

At two years old, Kellen loves to sing his ABCs and he LOVES airplanes! He can spot the tiniest airplane in the sky and it absolutely makes his day!
